Description
HAVIK used the initial SBIR Phase II and TACFI funding from AFWERX to field the initial three SBIR prototypes that have now grown into the premier synthetic JTAC training environments. HAVIK’s high fidelity, low cost, portable training solution for the Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC) has proliferated with over 70 HAVIK Joint Fires Trainers (JFT) procured across the DoD. HAVIK Core software creates a platform for interoperability amongst services practicing combined arms maneuvers, creating custom scenarios and training to meet the exact needs for the student. The MOSA design of HAVIK Core means HAVIK JFT is just one mode available for use within HAVIK Core. The potential for HAVIK CORE mission sets such as Combat Controller (CCT), Air Traffic Controller, Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS)/small Unmanned Aerial Systems (sUAS), and austere Landing Zone (LZ)/ Drop Zone (DZ) create a dedicated simulation software for the end user to fulfill their role in a larger shared battlefield scenario without the need for proprietary hardware or a separate training environment. This multi-user capability was created by a successful TACFI project with AFRL and 724 Special Tactics Group. The result of the TACFI project exceeded initial expectations and was completed three months ahead of schedule and on budget. The scalability/functionality of HAVIK Core, rapid adoption of HAVIK systems across the DoD, and good stewardship/results of previous funding under the TACFI combine to make HAVIK the perfect choice for this STRATFI with AFSOC to meet the next set of warfighter needs.
