Description

The Ario solution is an AR productivity web platform and mobile application providing a system for companies to increase productivity, efficiency, safety and to better refine training and production processes via XR. Companies adopting the Ario system will save money by reducing downtime, increasing revenue by boosting existing worker performance and safety, improving skills by delivering expert knowledge to more workers in more places, and measuring performance by easily capturing worker process data and enabling easy refinement of workplace procedures. Ario will adapt its Ario platform and Ario Connect application, with the help of 97 Air Mobility Wing (AMW) Pilot Training Transformation (PTT) Mobility Air Force (MAF) feedback, to build an extended reality (XR) training environment. This training environment will allow airmen to complete a substantial amount of pilot training courses completely within the platform through a combination of pre-recorded content and live video conference calls enhanced with augmented reality (AR) guidance and interaction. This solution will provide a complete XR learning environment where instructors can provide virtual objects for training instructions or provide real-time instructional training at the real-world equipment that students can interact with through an interactive XR (e.g. AR enhanced video conference call). This solution will allow instructors and students to: a) communicate remotely b) interact spatially with AR c) provide interactive quizzing capabilities d) measure student performance that can be integrated into learning management software. Ario Connect will provide a training XR platform that will provide the capability to perform a complete instructional pilot training course through a video conference to any airman remotely and on any device. Analytics will be captured for use to reevaluate training requirements.

Score Rationale

The TACFI pathway is a genuine fast-track instrument and scores well, but the core problem is primarily an XR/video-conferencing platform build with analytics bolted on — AI/ML is not the central technical challenge, dragging that score down to a 2. Problem framing is reasonably concrete with an identified end-user (97 AMW PTT) and some measurable outputs, but success criteria around 'substantial pilot training courses' and AR interaction quality remain loosely defined; the $1.7M ceiling lands in the mid-tier band but no explicit production transition pathway beyond the TACFI mechanism is named.
