Description

This Tactical Funding Increase (TACFI) effort supports the operational transition of Jericho Security’s generative AI-powered cybersecurity platform to defend against advanced phishing, deepfake, and AI-driven social engineering threats. The project focuses on expanding Jericho’s offensive and defensive machine learning capabilities, with multilingual spear phishing simulation (Spanish, French, Chinese Mandarin, Korean, Russian, and Farsi), deployment across IL4–IL6 infrastructure, and deepfake artifact detection and countermeasure development across tactical network environments (WiFi, 5G, Ethernet). Through co-evolutionary red/blue teaming, the system enhances real-time threat recognition, adaptive response, and adversarial training to prepare warfighters against emerging generative AI threats. Target DoD beneficiaries include the 16th Air Force, CYBERCOM, SOCOM, and other cyber-focused entities.

Score Rationale

TACFI is a top-tier fast-track instrument and the problem is genuinely AI-native — generative adversarial simulation, deepfake detection, and multilingual spear phishing are core ML tasks with clear end-users named (16th AF, CYBERCOM, SOCOM). The award ceiling of ~$2M is solid for a TACFI and the TACFI structure itself implies a prior SBIR Phase II lineage with an explicit operational transition intent, though no hard production contract pathway is spelled out. Timeline realism scores mid-range only because the response deadline is unknown and IL4–IL6 deployment requirements introduce significant compliance drag that could compress actual AI development cycles.
