As part of its goal to be the first digitally-native force, the Space Force is developing a new talent development model designed to complement traditional talent management processes in line with an October 2022 Memorandum "U.S. Space Force Skills and Capabilities Framework" from Deputy Chief of Space Operations for Human Capital. This framework will enhance selection, accession, promotion, evaluation, and talent development systems, providing the means to transparently identify position requirements, define required Guardian competencies, and manage talent for all Guardians (military and civilian). Workera is an objective skills assessment and guidance platform that assesses an individual’s mastery in thousands of micro-skills needed for jobs in AI and data analytics via adaptive tests and its algorithms then provide an incredibly customized list of open-source educational resources for a learner to fill in the individual gaps they may have. Workera guides learners into educational material in the most time-saving, cost-effective way possible. Workera has already been used by 70,000+ users across 2,300+ companies like Booz Allen Hamilton, Deloitte, Samsung, Accenture, Siemens Energy, AT&T, Mars, Visa and Merck. If funded for this TACFI project, Workera will work alongside the Space Force Enterprise Talent Management Office (ETMO) to develop a robust Occupational Skills and Capabilities Map aligned to the USSF Skills and Capabilities Framework & Senior Leader Capability Framework; build upon existing Digital University integration architecture to provide assessment results and relevant skills data to the Digital University platform; and develop novel 'soft' skills assessments to better identify and understand leadership capabilities. This is where Workera helps solve the next big challenge in training for the Air Force: delivery of far-reaching, highly effective, time-efficient training in any domain needed. Workera is an objective skills assessment and guidance platform that assesses an individual’s mastery in thousands of micro-skills needed for jobs in AI and data analytics via adaptive tests, and its algorithms then provide an incredibly customized list of open-source educational resources for a learner to fill in the individual gaps they may have. This precisely tailored approach results in reductions to training time of 40-70% compared to traditional one-size-fits-all training, thanks to eliminating redundancy in coursework. For this TACFI effort, Workera will adapt its AI-powered skills assessment and AI-curated upskilling platform specifically for the Space Force’s Capabilities and Skills Framework, Skills Certifications, and the Senior Leader Capability Framework, which is focused on assessing and developing General Officers and senior NCOs.
